Privacy.
Fewer GB (“the app”, “we”) is built so that your photos and your data stay on your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what that means.
The short version
- We do not collect, store or share any personal data.
- Your photos and videos never leave your device.
- There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Your photo library
The app asks for access to your photo library so it can show you your photos and videos and let you choose which to keep. All of this, including finding duplicates and similar photos, happens on your device. Photos are only deleted when you confirm it, and iOS asks you to confirm again. Deleted items move to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where you can recover them for up to 30 days.
If you ask the app to save your share card or recap video, it adds that image or video to your photo library.
Data stored on your device
The app saves your keep and lose choices, small image fingerprints used to find duplicates, and basic settings in its own storage on your iPhone. This data is never sent to us and is removed when you delete the app. You can also clear your choices at any time in Settings → Reset all choices.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device based on what is in your library. No notification content is sent through our servers, because we do not have any.
Purchases
The one-time purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the purchase is active.
Children
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
